WEEK 8
Wind turbine. I think their great! producing energy in an economical way is a great advancement. It's a great innovation to use our natural resources for energy. I believe that these farms will continue to advance into the future and there will become more of these similar farms. I definatly don't think it will hurt our economy but help it. The more natural resources we use the more our world is secure. I don't believe that the ozone will bust open in the near future but I do believe that it is a good idea to take care of this beautiful place we call our home. God blessed us with this green earth, why not use what he gave us to live. I think that wind turbine farms have a big future in our world. I am not sure how much money it takes to run a wind turbine farm but i am pretty sure it isn't cheap. This world does need to come together and try and run a more efficient economical freindly world.

Letterman's Alleged Taunter and Former CBS News Producer Robert "Joe" Halderman Should "Shave" if He Wants to Influence Public Opinion and a Jury: Maybe You Should Too-If You Want the Job!
1. I completely agree with you... Acting your age and looking clean does help you in the political and job world. Having a Gotee look young and trashy. Yes we are supposed to take people as is, but someone that doesn't know who they are is not someone i want to be involved with.

2. I agree, there is no reason why the teachers should be fired like that. I understand that they might have thought some would be very angered by the firing it, but so brutal is not the way. I don't believe that anyone would agree that that is the best way to tell someone that the job that they have loved for 30 years is ended in 5 minutes.

MOViES =]
So, movies are a very big portion to our societies entertainment intrigue. I love going to the movies! I love comedies, romance, mystery, wars, documentation films, etc., basically every kind out there but scary!! I hate scary movies because im skiddish enough without paying for someone to freak me out for 2 hours!
Back to black and white films with no sound, people have enjoyed going to the theatre to see a new movie. There are more options these days, but people still enjoy going. Yes it is getting to be expensive, but what isn't these days. People love being entertained. Back before there was the films, people listened to records on wax cylinders that sounded like crap. They also went to see the vaudville shows and before that was black minstrel shows. We have evolved since then with the internet and HD and TIVO, but personally i still enjoy going to the movie theatre to see a new movie i have been dying to see.
When i go to the movies, it is a chance to forget about papers, and deadlines, and work for 2 hours and enjoy sometime with my girls, friends or family. We either are laughing or crying, but at least were doing it together. There is something special about the film industry that i don't think will ever go away. I do believe that going to the movie theatre will be around forever. I love to get in comfy warm clothes with coffee and a blanket and watch P.S. i Love you and cry with a box of tissues, but there is a special feeling of going to the theatre and watching a dramatic film on the BIG SCREEN. As the internet and more technology comes out, people won't stop going to the theatre.
I haven't really got to go to the theatres here lately due to work and school and studying. But I can't wait until the proposal comes out. It is hilarious and just an all around amazing movie. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Rynalds do an outstanding performance in it. I throughally enjoy romance movies, they are probably my favorite, even though love most of the times is nothing like it is in the movies, it is still enjoyable to see such a strong undying love between 2 people. I am not in a relationship and have not fallen head over hills in love, but watching romance films almost gives me hope that one day my turn will come and i will fall madly and deeply in love with a man (of my dreams =]) and when I do, it probably won't be anything like the movies but atleast they give me the hope that it will one day.
There are a lot of new movies that i want to see. I just don't have enough money to go see them all, or time!!!
Overall I believe the film industry has nothing to worry about because people of today won't stop going to see movies. It is a joy to have the movie going experience and enough people still enjoy it that the industry has nothing to worry about.

CROSS, WHiTE HOUSE, BEACH
I have picked three very different images. In all good reason, to explain different aspects of the views of large groups down to me.
First is the cross. The cross symbolizes Jesus dieing on it for the sins of the world. Some religions might not agree with that, but me being a christian i will discuss it from this view. Christianity is a big part of our society, In God We Trust is our countries motto! It symbolizes love, compassion, longing, suffering, peace, tranquility and cleansing. Sometimes we as humans forget the importance of religion, we are only on this earth for a short while of eternity. We need to live our life to the fullest for the one that died for our sins that everyone can know about his story. People don't cruify as punishment anymore, but back in those times it was the ultimate death sentence. That day Jesus died, the people did not know why the son of God would just give up and not save himself. Later they realized that because he did, he rose again and paid the debt for all of our sins. Leaving the cross a symbol of hope that heaven is on the other side of this short painful life.
Second is the white house. It symbolizes our nations capital and head of our government. Any major decision our country faces comes from this place. People say that it is a place of refuge and hope. It has long been our nations capital since the early years of our country. I believe that respect is owed to that building, it has housed many a powerful men. It is a monument of world power.
Last is the beach =] I come from Florida and i just wanted to speak on what it symbolizes for me. In the early days of exploration, no one new what was out there, if there was anything. It was a whole new aspect to the world if somewhere way past the horizen existed. For the pilgrims and early settlers i believe that the beach meant a whole lot more than sand and waves, it meant freedom, hope and their future. Anyone that sits on the beach and looks out can't help but think about, what is to come in the future. When i look out into the deep blue i realize that this life is short and that my hopes and dreams can be accomplished. It's going to be hard but there is no end in sight and some people might think of that as dissapointment but i look at is hope. That it might look to far away, but it can be done. I have big hopes for myself and dreams from when i was a little girl that i was going to be known when i die, that people will remember me and miss me. The ocean gives me hope that nothing is to far out of reach, the sky and water might not ever touch and it may seem like there is no hope, but the sun will set and there will always be tomorrow!

money money money =]
There is nothing better than getting home after a long, fun day of shopping. When you open all your bags and dump the fresh new clothes on the bed, to once again put on your own personal runway show to look at the brand new clothes you just bought! I love the feeling of a new pair of shoes, or a beautiful loving dress on my curves =] Twitchell is so right when he says we are turning into an age of materialism, but personally i think the road has always led to the mall. The only difference is it used to be traded or bought with real gold. I love to shop anywhere that catches my eye! Cute close, a good bargain, a beautiful heel. Dressing up is so much fun now that i have had my breast reduction, it was such a pain to go shopping before because i couldn't find anything to fit over my boobs! Now there the perfect size so it is a lot easier to shop for cute clothes that make me feel good about my self. I love to keep up with the trends but i have always been the one to be slightly different. (nothing weird different, just trendy different)... people say i can pull off certain looks they can't .. i say if ya got it, ya got it. America loves to shop, with out a good healthy dose of materialism we would be lost and our economy would suck even worse than it does now! I work in retail and people are always buying things they don't need ( i am guilty as charged) but i am really taking a step back here lately and trying to figure out more of where my money is going to! I'll follow the road that leads to the mall =]

POLITICS...
SO POLITICS, SUCH AN EXCITING TOPIC... NOT! I don't believe in politicians. They are mean power hungry men, with wanting things there way is the only way. Tonight i read an article on Jim Wilson yelling "you lie" during Obama's speech. I kind of think it's funny, i don't really like Obama, yes it's disrepectful because he is the President of our wonderful country in which we live. But, i agree totally with Wilson, Obama has lied from the beginning, everyone looks up to him but i do not, he agrees with the views of whoever he is talking to. I am a person of substance and do not like to get lied to. In the article by Noam Levey, she gives facts and barely no opinion, which i like in a writer of political news. I like the unbiased truth that comes from this article. On CBS Obama said, "This is part of what happens. I mean, it becomes a big circus instead of us focusing on healthcare". I personally do not want a Healthcare Reform, i'm not sure exactly what it is because i dont' keep up with the news as i should, but anything Reform that comes from politicians can't be good. I could go on and on about Obama and how i do repect him as my President and leader of my country, i do not agree or like him very much as a person. I don't know him personally but i have my opinions. Kudos to Wilson..

The perfect spot.
I don't really like to write, but I do like the rush I get when I finally strike a great idea and everything comes from my heart. I've also never been a very skilled writer. I have trouble with expanding on words.
My favorite place to write is outside. There is nothing like feeling the breeze in your face as you clear your busy mind of nothing but the topic of which your writing. Like i said before I haven't been exactly an A+ writer, but there is something amazing about our brains that gets turned on when we start flowing with an idea. I love re-reading my paper, it gives me a rush of accomplishment. Knowing that every word on that paper came from my ideas.
I like to be outside when I write just because nothing in the world matters when im there, everything kind of dissapears. I have such a busy life, 40 hours a week at Walgreens, 15 credit hours at school, and studying is an all day thing for me this semester. Writing lets me escape from my schedule. It allows me to take a part of me and form a structured essay that has a little bit of me thrown in. Being me is a very important part of how i live my life. So i like how i write to reflect that part of me.
